I think I have a number one choice for college.
That scares the hell out of me. I don't bare well with disapointment, and I fear disapointment here.
I can't even justify the field I want to go into, its a gut instinct, and I don't second guess them. People question you when you say you are going into Law. But genetics just gives you a pat on the back and an impressed look.
Make me explain why. It's not our actions but justifications that make us interesting and worthy. I hate how people don't get that.
Especially in IR, I think this class is going to make me explode. Why can't I have the smart interesting person in my class that I can listen in awe to? Where are the smart people of MUN of my generation? (or am I supposed to play this role? egotistical comment and all) Instead I have a class that thinks the term "Big Brother" is a good thing. I mean really, IR =/= to blow off. Why would you think that? But the insanity of the people, it's worse than AP Govt, and that's saying something. And if you are going to be the arrogant jackass that thinks the world revolves around you and your hummer and that you are the shit, realize that the people you try to assert your superiority over don't care, we just want our educational worth, as nerdy as it seems.
I am learning so much about the world.
So what is it? Does the world view motives or actions
Do ends justify means or do the means justify ends.
Please, disillusion me, I need it.

midwest is an abbreviation for midwest high school championships. essentially there were 48 warm bodies for men's epee. the top 20 or so were good. it just so happens that midwest was in chicago this past year. next year it will be in des plaines, illinois
so you're talking about the remenyik, which is the second to last weekend in october? like the 23rd or so? yeah, i haven't been there. but i would die there.
i'm still in high school, btw. nidhi and i met at the summer program at case western reserve univ.

instead, i'm going to go completely off topic.
the best respected people, the people everyone wants to work with, the people who go the farthest are those who enjoy learning. no, they might not get 4.0s. no, they might not win every award. they will, however, be dynamic and enthusiastic about where they are and what they're doing.
these are the people who end up climbing any and every corporate ladder. not people who know everything, but people who are willing to listen and learn, and apply what they've learned in the best manner they can. if you want to know everything, go sit in a corner with a book. if you want to make yourself useful, go talk to people. hang out in the physics room after school. [that's what i did today]. make friends with people you never thought you could before. i know you're a people person, and having contacts will take you far. not contacts for the sake of calling on them when you need help, but having them so they want to help you all the time.
sorry for being all preachy, but it's true. you're a smart person who realizes that school and life is more than just grades and tests. it's about learning to learn. it's about loving to learn. it's about loving to love.
good luck.
